Why does it matter?

More than 6,000 U.S. infants born in 2022 were identified with a permanent hearing loss, and 15% of children (age 6-19 years) have some form of hearing loss.

Early identification, intervention, and treatment of hearing concerns is crucial for speech, language, and academic success.
