The MDC provides services, resources, and education to meet the needs of individuals who are deaf, hard-of-hearing or communicatively challenged, their families, and the professionals who work with them. We are dedicated to providing high level compassionate care to individuals and families of all ages and all cultural and economic backgrounds.
Donations are Tax-Deductible!
The Marion Downs Center is a nonprofit organization with 501(c)(3) status with the IRS. Monitory donations, property donations and donations of goods are tax-deductible.
Reasons to support the Marion Downs Center

⭐ $50 goes towards community events like our Valentine's Day party, summer picnic, or Halloween party for DHH kids
⭐ $80 provides a child with a hearing, speech, vision, and developmental screen
⭐ $100 provides a speech therapy session for a child
⭐ $200 provides a comprehensive hearing evaluation
⭐ $250 provides custom hearing protection
⭐ $300 goes towards scholarships for a child to attend Marion's Way
⭐ $350 repairs a hearing aid
⭐ $900 goes towards a new or reconditioned hearing aid
⭐ $1,500 goes towards supplies/equipment for Goberis DHH Track & Field Day
⭐ $3,000 goes towards updated hearing test equipment

An Cochlear Implant Update - Catherine's Story
Catherine, a smart, caring mother of a 2-year-old son, has a profound hearing loss, bilaterally, and was able to receive a cochlear implant at the age of 10 in her native, Colombia. Her sound processor stopped working entirely two years ago.
Like many other cochlear implant users, Catherine did not have insurance to cover the replacement. Since then, she has lived in silence for 2 years. During that time, it was challenging to be connected to her family and to provide an optimal communication environment for her son.
After being referred to us by Fundacion de Colombianos en Colorado, Catherine was able to be seen and have her cochlear implant sound processor replaced by the Marion Downs Center team with support from Alex from Med EL, a cochlear implant company.”

Kabul Evacuee Receives Hearing Aids at the MDC
Bilal's family were among the 80,000+ evacuees who arrived in the United States after the fall of Kabul in 2021. In Afganistan, Bilal struggled at home and in school. When he received his hearing aids, Bilal's parents noticed a big difference in his confidence and ability to communicate with others.
