Language Leads to Literacy: National Speech-Language-Hearing Month

May is National Speech-Language-Hearing Month and the Marion Downs Center is committed to sharing the importance of strong language and communication skills. An especially important language developmental period happens before children enter kindergarten. Strong communication skills prepare children for reading, writing, and future academic achievement.
